Movie Analysis

  ACCEPTED

Accepted is a 2006 American comedy film directed by Steve Pink (in his directorial debut) and written by Adam Cooper, Bill Collage and Mark Perez. The plot follows a group of high school graduates who create their own fake college after being rejected from the colleges to which they applied. The story takes place in Wickliffe and a fictitious college town called Harmon in Ohio.

The uniqueness of each person was illustrated in this movie. I believe that just because college-eligible persons are expected to be successful in the future does not preclude others who do not possess the required credentials from succeeding. True enough, one shouldn't judge someone solely based on their appearance. I learned from it not to dismiss other people's aspirations and desires just because they are different from your own. To create something significant for our own future, we as young people should put our unique ideas to use. It serves as a reminder that having goals is necessary for personal improvement and success.

Because of the unexpected plot turns, the movie made me feel a variety of emotions, including pity, pride, happiness, pleased, and satisfaction. Due to Bartleby's constant rejection, I found myself feeling sorry for him in the first half of the film. However, as I continued to watch the film, I was filled with pride and joy at how persistent and willing the main character was to achieve his goals. Last but not least, I was happy that despite the difficulties and setbacks they have through, this hasn't prevented them from pursuing their goals of achieving success in life. Overall, I was happy with the movie's ability to elicit a range of feelings from me while I watched it.

The film made a point of showing that people learn not only through textbooks, syllabuses, and other classroom resources but also from their own personal experiences.  On the other side, in terms of technology in education, this film creatively included the beauty of technology. The primary characters developed a website and portal where students could register and track their academic progress using technology.

The importance of education, unity, and powerful teamwork are the three main themes that the movie emphasizes. The essence of higher education in America is covered in an encouraging open book. All of the main characters made an attempt to cooperate from the start to finish to solve any problems. It goes without saying that anything is possible if we have a dream and are motivated to work toward it.
